Exploring Our World – Free Printable Passport Book Activity

As part of Social Studies this year, we are doing a geography curriculum exploring countries from all around the world! To go along with our studies, we created a Passport Book to track the countries and experiences explored throughout our curriculum. We’re excited to share this Passport Book with you, so your little explorers can join in the fun and track their own adventures too!

How to Use The Passport Book

The Passport Book consists of 39 pages including a cover page, an ‘About Me’ page, 36 country pages and one blank country template.

With this Passport Book, you can explore 36 countries (or more!) across North & South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and the Middle East. This passport book was created to align with a 38-week Geography curriculum where we ‘visit’ a new country every week. There is also a blank country template which we will use as part of an independent research project but this could also be used to add more countries to your studies.

We start each week by introducing the country through books, atlases and videos, learning some of the main facts, symbols and landmarks of the country. After this, we’ll complete our passport page by writing down information such as the capital and population, draw a picture of the flag and our favorite place we ‘visited’, and add an interesting fact or two about the country. Finally, once we have completed filling in the page, we ‘stamp’ our passports. You can use an actual stamp but since we don’t have one, we use some star stickers we had instead. These Flags of The World Stickers could also work really well too!

We spend the rest of the week diving deeper into physical geography, history and culture but stay tuned  as we hope to share more information on our World Geography Curriculum in the future!

Printing & Assembling Instructions

  1. Click the link below to download the printable PDF.
  2. Open in Adobe/PDF viewer and select Print.
  3. Under Page Sizing & Handling, select:
  • Booklet
  • Booklet Subset: Both sides
  • Binding: Left
  1. Assemble the pages in order and staple together.

We recommend printing as a booklet to most resemble a real passport but you can also print as individual pages and hole punch to add in a binder if you prefer!

I’ve also included an extra blank country template. Feel free to add or exclude depending on your needs.
