Why is Tracing & Writing the Alphabet Important?

- Develop Fine Motor Skills: Tracing can help strengthen the small muscles in the hands and fingers which is important for writing.
- Recognize Letter Shapes: Repetition in tracing helps children learn to recognize each letter’s shape.
- Recognize Letter Names: As with letter shapes, tracing along with verbal review can help children memorize the letters of the alphabet and what they are called.
