Explore the Country Together: Learn more about the country by:

  • Looking through atlases
  • Reading books about the country or stories based there
  • Watch a Youtube video, movie or documentary.
  • Conduct research online

Create a Class Discussion: Talk about what was learned and encourage your child to reflect with questions like:

  • How does this compare to our culture/country?
  • What food, tradition, or holiday do you think you would like? Dislike?
  • Would you like to visit or live in this country? Why or why not?

Try a Country-Themed Activity: Make the learning experience more interactive by:

  • Cooking a recipe from the country
  • Playing a local sport or game
  • Trying a traditional dance or craft
